Swan unveils its new website with a view to the future

What does it take to create a website for the largest SCEA school? When you consider the rigours of a K-12 campus, then add in a Trade Centre, Swanonline, Worklink, and the performing arts company (Fenceline Theatre) – wow! That is one big project!

This week we find out how it all came together for the team at Swan Christian College (SCC)…

“Every parent who comes into our school has looked at our website before they arrive,” said Mr Steven Wellbeloved, SCC’s Head of Advancement this week.

“Our goal was to create an accessible window into the heart of the Swan community through video content, relevant information and the opportunity to create a first impression of what the Christian community can look like in our College.”

College Principal Dr Darnelle Pretorius unveiled the new website last week, with the College’s executive team working hard to ensure that all the different facets of the Swan experience were encompassed in this unique website experience.

“Steven has managed this project well with his Advancement Team, and the result is a testament to their hard work, expertise, and insight into the culture of Swan Christian College. The site has clean spaces, stunning visuals, and updated messaging. We are excited to see our community’s response to the various landing pages and the overall inclusive and welcoming appearance and tone,” said Dr Pretorius.

The new site took the user experience to a new level, with new videos produced for the College and a virtual tour of the entire campus, allowing prospective parents and students to ‘virtually walk’ through the classrooms and the learning spaces before arriving for their College Tour.

“Our levels of parent enquiry have been at all-time highs this year, with our Advancement Team working cooperatively with the team at SCEA Head Office to ensure that our families can enquire, enrol and begin with our College seamlessly, “ said Mr Wellbeloved.
