How can we combat these hackers and keep our information safe?

‘Phishing’ is an approach that seeks to impersonate an organisation or a person you may know or may be familiar with. It can come in the form of an email, text message, social media post, or even a phone call, and will often appear somewhat familiar… asking you to provide information, click on a link, or complete a simple task.
Some common examples include requests like:
- I’m stuck in a meeting and don’t have access to my laptop, can you please “do a task”
- Please update some personal information by tomorrow via this link or “something bad will happen”
- Click here to update your delivery details so you can receive “a package”
