‘Alice’ production showcases KCS performing arts talent!

The Kalamunda Christian School (KCS) production of Lewis Caroll’s ‘Alice’ was a hit for Mrs Kate Rimmer and her devoted team of staff as they played to sell-out audiences at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre (KPAC) recently.

The students auditioned early in the year for their parts, practised each week, and performed beautifully across the two nights to highlight the amazing performing talent that has been cultivated over a number of years by the KCS staff.

KCS Principal, Mr Craig Hunter, was effusive with his praise this week: “How can one school have so much talent? It was so good to see our students step out of their comfort zone to use their God-given gifts!”

Mrs Rimmer, a class teacher who devoted hours of extra time to make the production a success also reflected on the spectacle this week: “It was such a privilege to see how the students went from the initial nervous auditions to the stellar performances they gave for both show nights.”

Special mention to Mrs Jenny Michael (Education Assistant – KCS) who was a whizz in the Props Department and Mrs Anne Wheat (Music Director – KCS) who trained the choral ensemble.
