You will remember the ICT Strategy Day that brought together representatives from SCEA schools back in early June.
A second ICT Strategy Day was held this week, with product demonstrations from invited company representatives and discussion around alternative ICT ‘ecosystems’ which may be adopted by SCEA schools in the future.
Dr Graeme Cross (Chief Executive Officer – SCEA) facilitated the discussion on how ICT can be best utilised moving forward to enable enhanced learning for our students and families, drawing on the recommendations of the RTG Report (commissioned in 2022 and distributed to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) earlier this year) to find system-wide solutions for our schools moving forward.
As part of the continued research, the group plans to visit other educational establishments in the future to see some of these ICT products in action.
Each SCEA school was requested to send at least one member of staff who has a passion for integrating ICT into the curriculum and who could advocate for their school as an educational specialist with knowledge of teaching and learning. The SCEA school staff present were:
