SCEA Human Resources Team Works Together For Shared Outcomes

For Mr Jordan Tai (SCEA Office – HR Payroll Administrator), the task is simple: enable our staff across SCEA schools to succeed in their roles through streamlining processes and minimising disruption.

However, there are times when ‘simple’ tasks are far from easy!

In his first month, Jordan has had to begin his new role at SCEA while balancing his ‘other job’ – leading worship at SonLife Church (Oxford Street, Leederville) each Sunday. He has had to learn complex new software packages, withstand the jokes of colleague Renae Matich and navigate his days without the benefit of coffee – the machine in SCEA’s Head Office is currently ‘out of order!’

Enter Ms Aimee Bartell (Personal Assistant to Swan’s Deputy Principal), and the link between SCEA’s largest school (home to more than 200 SCEA employees!) and the SCEA HR Department has become a reality. The mid-year holidays have allowed Jordan and Aimee to look over the processes that assist SCEA employees with superannuation, leave entitlements, and many other functions that many of us take for granted each pay cycle.

Aimee (the daughter of Business Manager Mr Ray Bartell) has slipped seamlessly into the role of dealing with Swan Christian College’s HR responsibilities this week. She is currently studying for a Bachelor of Commerce at ECU Joondalup.
