Swan Christian College (SCC) seeks resolution to traffic issues

Anyone who has visited SCC between 7:30-8:30 am or 3:30-4:30 pm on school days will have witnessed the significant traffic congestion outside the school at these times. A recent meeting between SCC leadership, SCEA Head Office and Main Roads representatives continued the discussion to alleviate congestion at the Great Northern Highway campus, which has been an ongoing concern for SCEA for many years.

The State Minister for Transport, the Hon. Rita Saffioti MLA, has mentioned this is one of the areas of most significant congestion that she is keen to see addressed. A recent meeting with the Main Roads Department demonstrated a willingness to find a solution for the College. Both stakeholders (SCC and Main Roads) have had input, as key stakeholders, into the road designs that will be considered by Minister Saffioti when funds become available.

Representatives from the SCEA Head Office, along with SCC staff, Mains Roads representatives and architects, meet to discuss alleviating traffic congestion at Swan Christian College.
