Temporary Change To SCEA Board Chair Position

Our SCEA Board Chair is temporarily changing – and here’s the reason why…

In our last edition of SCEA News, we reported on the two Association meetings that have taken place since the year began, with external firm ‘Neometric’ being appointed in late 2022 to review SCEA’s governance structure and present recommendations in line with Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Not-for-Profit Governance Principles.

Part of these recommendations was for a ‘body of work’ to be undertaken to ensure that SCEA complies with all policies and procedures as its enrolments grow across each of our seven schools.

As such, Board Chair Mr Robert Edkins has been asked (along with another Board member) to undertake a substantial amount of work outside of the regular hours of a voluntary Board position.

This work is expected to be completed by mid-year 2023, when the Annual General Meeting (AGM) occurs.

While the work is ongoing – fellow Board Member Mr Craig Clark will serve as the Board Chair.
