Swan Trade Training Centre (STTC) has been a hive of activity lately, with students bustling through for Try-A-Trade days and pre-apprenticeship requirements keeping the instructors busy.
However, one staffer has been putting his spare time to good use – the industrious Mr Luke Norman.
Luke is a qualified boilermaker and was previously a foreman in a large company before following a passion to see young men and women encounter Christ through trades.
With his skills in welding, machining and construction, Luke successfully built this double-axle trailer for the Outdoor Education Department at Swan.
He was very shy about being in the photos, but it is great to have someone of Luke’s talents as part of the team at Swan.
PS. The retail price for a trailer of these specifications is $25,000. Luke bought the parts for $5,000 and contributed the labour for free! #winning
