Netball trio set to represent state

Three senior students at Swan Christian College (SCC) have been named in the Under 17 Western Australian State Team for Netball.  Year 11 students Tayla and Boudene along with Year 12 student Jasmah have all made the grade, thanks to hard work and determination.

Jasmah began playing as a youngster in Kalgoorlie before moving to Perth for secondary schooling. She has been part of the state team for the past three years and aims to play in the Suncorp Super Netball League.

Tayla began in the NetSetGo program in Year 1 at SCC Junior School. In her early years, she was selected for Swan Districts and then made the WA Under 12’s team. She currently plays for the Rangers in the WA Netball League.

Boudene began playing at the age of 7, and her decision to select SCC for her senior schooling was partly due to the netball program at the College. She was selected in the ‘Fever in Time Program’ in 2019-2020 and was offered two contracts at Western Australian Netball League (WANL) clubs.

Credit goes to Mr Stephen Drew and his team at SCC for their help in aiding this talented group of netballers.
