SCEA’s new Intranet for 2026 needs a name – and you could win a prize for contributing the winning suggestion!

SCEA staff, it’s time to get brainstorming!

The SCEA Intranet integration team (led by Mr Paul Fettis – Head of Risk, Governance & Assurance) has been working behind the scenes with digital agency Zyrous to complete the new organisation-wide Intranet platform, to be rolled out in Term 1, 2026.

A key feature of this new intranet is the AI-powered bot specifically designed to assist staff members with operational questions. In a few short months, the answers to questions like “how do I apply for an excursion?” and “what’s my school’s policy for social media use?” will be just a few clicks away!

Before it hits your screens, we need your help.

SCEA’s AI bot needs a name!

You can play a critical role in deciding what to call the bot that will help you and your colleagues streamline daily processes, as well as the name that will be given to all new SCEA staff as they receive the resources they need to make a strong start in their roles.

Imagine a world where the answer to “Who do I ask?” is a clear: “Type it into ProcessPro,” or, “LearnMate will know.”

To this end, the Intranet team is hosting an AI-bot Naming Competition, opening today.

What’s in this competition for you?

Besides the opportunity to flex your creative muscles, there is a $150 Koorong voucher on the line for one lucky staff member!

So, how does the competition work?

  • All SCEA staff members have until the end of Week 2 – Term 4, 2025, to make suggestions.
  • You can make as many suggestions in that time as you like.
  • The winner will be chosen by members of the SCEA Intranet team and announced in the final SCEA News for 2025.
  • The winner will be contacted and sent their prize, a $150 Koorong voucher, to their work email.
