The opportunity to gather as a SCEA community and celebrate the start of the 2026 school year is just around the corner!
This year’s Celebration Day will once again take place at Riverview Church in Week 4 of Term 1 (27 February 2026), uniting new and returning staff to give thanks and prepare for the year ahead.
SCEA Celebration Day remains a key event on our calendar because it provides an opportunity for staff from all schools to come together, listen to inspiring speakers, enjoy time together, and reflect on the work God is doing through our communities each day.
For many staff, the full-day Celebration format is now familiar, and 2026 is shaping up to be our biggest gathering yet!
This Celebration Day’s program will run from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, featuring SCEA Transformation videos, a time of worship, thought-provoking keynote speeches and a variety of afternoon breakout sessions.
Riverview’s spacious venue once again provides ample parking, and the on-site café will open from 7:30 am for those who like to start the morning with a coffee.
Our keynote speakers for 2026 will be Dr Graeme Cross (Chief Executive Officer – SCEA) and Dr Darren Iselin (Director of Research & Innovation – Christian Schools Australia).
Dr Cross will be sharing more about ‘The CHARIS Way’, a view of life that can inform and inspire us as we seek to live, work and engage with our communities in the light of what God has done for us! He will also provide an update on some significant strategic initiatives happening across SCEA.
We know that the gospel can shape our life more positively and profoundly, but looking more deeply at the CHARIS virtues will allow us to really reflect in the knowledge of what God has done, and how we can live as a result of the bountiful gifts He gives us.
We will also have a segment featuring short videos from each SCEA school, which will highlight key initiatives for the 2026 school year in each of our locations!
Our day will also include the ‘SCEA Milestone Awards’ for long-serving staff members.
