SCC hosts Educate Plus members and academics for Marketing Masterclass

A group of 50 of Perth’s best school marketers were hosted by Swan Christian College (SCC) on Friday 23 June as Educate Plus members, university academics, and industry leaders provided keynote speeches on culture, customers and strategy.

The SCC Advancement Team (led by Mr Steven Wellbeloved and aided by Mrs Cheryl Long, Mrs Marie Goodchild and Mrs Jane Jayes) have set new standards for marketing and enrolments since the inception of College Principal Dr Darnelle Pretorius’s appointment, with enrolment projections, customer satisfaction and community engagement reaching new levels in 2023.

The opportunity to host some of Perth’s best school marketers allowed the team to showcase the cuisine of Chef Rob De Carmo and the SCC hospitality students and hear from SCC Business Manager, Dr Ray Bartell and Dr Pretorius on the secrets to exploring social culture to achieve positive change.

Other keynote speeches from Mr Paul Dean (Monday Media) on digital marketing strategies and Deakin University’s Dr Michael Valos on CX: Customer Experience in Schools allowed the advancement professionals to see the practical and academic implications of their work in schools as it relates to enrolments, attraction and brand awareness.
