ECC’s ‘Bugsy Malone’ production combines 1920’s New York gangsters with comical gags for kids!

Ellenbrook Christian College (ECC) staff member Ms Caitlin Easton is leading the charge in creating the ‘Bugsy Malone’ production – with students lining up to be a part of this wonderfully funny tale of gals and gangsters, hijinks and laughs!

Year 12 Abby and Year 10 Tyson will be playing the lead roles in this comical play, which is based loosely around the American era of ‘Prohibition’ (the illegalisation of alcohol in USA) –  substituting machine guns that fire gobs of whipped cream instead of bullets!

Secondary students were required to audition in the areas of acting, dancing and singing for their parts with Ms Easton overwhelmed with the positive response from the ECC community.

“It’s been amazing to see the students really come together, rehearse regularly and make this production come alive for us!”

There will be three performances of ‘Bugsy Malone’, from Thursday 22 June to Saturday 24 June.
