Plans for the SCEA Celebration Day (scheduled for Friday 4 March 2022) are well underway with workshop coordinators preparing their Equipping Sessions and keynote speakers are planning their presentations for the event.
However, the latest developments around the COVID 19 outbreaks in schools and across Western Australia are compelling school leaders to consider all options in the lead-up to such a large event.
On Monday 7 February the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) will discuss the SCEA Celebration Day (along with other matters pertaining to COVID 19 protocols and planning) and reach a decision regarding the viability of running the event on Friday 4 March.
What we do know is:
- This date (4 March) will be set aside as an opportunity for professional development for all SCEA staff, irrespective of whether the Celebration Day occurs in its planned form.
- If we cannot run the program involving all SCEA staff at one location, it is possible that the full program for Celebration Day may be re-scheduled for later in the year.
