Association Meeting brings members together to look at the next chapter of SCEA’s brand expression

Last night’s Association Meeting at Swan Christian College’s Maalia Room offered Dr Graeme Cross (Chief Executive Officer – SCEA) to join with the SCEA Board to brief SCEA Association members on the work that has been undertaken on the visual expression of our CHARIS Way and Virtues, which have recently been embedded into the SCEA Constitution.

The SCEA Marketing Team, along with creative agency 303, has been working for approximately 12 months to refine several of the SCEA logos for the SCEA Central Office. These new concepts were presented to the gathered group, with ‘roadshows’ at each of the SCEA sites due to take place over the next fortnight, prior to the Easter break.

This presentation marked a significant milestone for the visual expression process, with this meeting with the Association marking the final engagement in this stakeholder engagement process.

Prior to the Association Meeting, Dr Graeme Cross hosted an online Teams call with 30 of SCEA’s senior leaders across the school sites to discuss these concepts and the rationale behind the new visual representations.

“It was crucial that our Association Members are on board with the direction that we’re taking with these new concepts,” said Dr Cross last night.

“They are the moral owners of SCEA, and it’s vitally important that we engage with them at every stage of this process.”

“For me, it was very important for me to make sure that we are going in the direction they would want us to go and that we’re being consistent with the mission to which God has called us to.”

SCEA Board Chair Mr Craig Clark opened the night in prayer and harked back to his days as a Swan student:

“I’ve been connected to SCEA since 1995 as a student, and I’m really excited for tonight. It’s a step in the right direction, and the Board is keen to see what the future holds for our schools and the Central Office.”

Over the next fortnight, each school will have the opportunity to see what the new brand expressions and the CHARIS virtues may look like in different places across the SCEA communities through the ‘roadshow’ presentations with the project team from SCEA Central.
