Three distinct groups of graduates met at Swan Christian College (SCC) recently to celebrate and remember the formative years of their lives at the Middle Swan campus.
On Friday 7 November, the Maali Room played host to the classes of 1995, 2005 and 2015, with a student band playing hit songs from the 1990’s to remember those ‘good old days.’

Past staff members Mr Rob Merrells, Mrs Nick Ellery, Mr Peter Baskin and Mrs Heather Munro were among the teachers who popped in to see their former students – some of whom had travelled significant distances for the event!
The College campus came alive with conversation and laughter as familiar faces reconnected and shared fond memories of their school days. The College campus has changed significantly over the years, with Mr Terry Eason (Head of Senior School – SCC) leading a tour of the new facilities, such as the Trade Training Centre and the gymnasium.
“I have very fond memories of my time here,” said a 1995 graduate who had flown in from Canberra for the event.

“Much of the setup here was rudimentary, but the focus was always on building great people through a Christian viewpoint – and the teachers were simply amazing, outstanding people that we admired greatly,” said another.
From new facilities to growing student programs, it was wonderful to reflect on how the College continues to flourish while maintaining the same heart and values that shaped their school experience.
Dr Darnelle Pretorius (College Principal – SCC) was on hand, serving food to the ex-students and hearing stories of how Swan had shaped these cohorts for life after school.
Special thanks to Mrs Kylie Bullard (Events & Alumni Manager – SCC) for arranging this event, and to Mr Simon Bergin (Head of Swanonline – SCC) and Chef Rob De Carmo for their amazing efforts in catering and hospitality.
