Seven News visits Northshore to learn about ‘pocket money’, investments and share trading from students!

Last week’s visit from Mr Tim McMillan (Seven News presenter) was a special treat for students from Mr Campbell Herley’s Year 6 class, with the ‘Money Talks’ program speaking to Primary-aged students about their savings, spending and share price evaluations.

The program, which explores financial literacy and investment strategies, was aimed at hearing young people’s ideas for making money in today’s world.

One young student runs a successful bin-washing enterprise on his neighbourhood street, while another invests heavily in FMG stocks with his parents’ assistance!

The visit to Northshore Christian Grammar School (NCGS), SCEA’s northern-most school, showcased the practical ways in which today’s teachers are empowering students to apply classroom learning in practical, life-shaping ways.

The program is set to air shortly, with students and parents keen to follow this engaging new series on the Seven network.
