The formation of a new SCEA committee will ensure that every school will enjoy new structures soon, as BCS unveils its new playground!
The ‘Major Construction Projects Committee’ met for the first time last week, with the members celebrating a high point in collegiality for SCEA’s seven independent schools across Perth.
The gathered group worked through proposals to consider new projects for the SCEA sites in 2026.
The purpose of this committee is to closely review all of the Expressions Of Interest (EOI) submissions for proposed school projects across SCEA, conduct a detailed analysis and make recommendations for consideration by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the SCEA Board.

So what does it all mean for us?

Well, the creation of new structures across SCEA schools means that our students can enjoy modern equipment for their learning environments.
At Beechboro Christian School (BCS), the buzz of excitement around the school this week was palpable as students explored the brand new Nature Play Space for the very first time.

Mr Ben Harris instructed them how to use the equipment safely and gently encouraged everyone to challenge themselves.
Whether they were climbing high, sliding fast, or swinging freely, students embraced the fun with courage and enthusiasm.
This is the end result of project management from the school Executive, and financial oversight from a number of different parts of the SCEA Head Office to ensure that our students are enjoying life and growing together in a safe environment.
