The venue at Riverview Church allows all of us to arrive early, park at Charles Paterson Park, walk across to the auditorium and have barista-made or instant coffee or tea before worship begins at 8:30 am.

Who’s speaking at Celebration Day?
This year, we are joined by several guest speakers across the day. Our keynote speakers, Dr Ian Lambert and Dr Rob Loe are coming to us from Scots College, Sydney.
Mrs Rachel Thyer: is a former Chaplain at Swan Christian College and mother of four young children. Her devotional talk will focus on the ‘calling’ to mission and understanding God’s purpose for our lives.
Dr Ian Lambert is the Principal of Scots College, Sydney having previously held the position of Principal of Swan Christian College.
His keynote speech will be based around forming high-performing, efficient groups as outlined in “Team of Teams: New Rules of Engagement for a Complex World” by Stanley McChrystal.
Dr Rob Loe is the Deputy Principal – Academics at The Scots College, Sydney, having previously held the position of Chief Executive for The Relationships Foundation (Cambridge).
During his keynote presentation, Dr Loe will be taking a micro look at creating high-performance teams within a school environment.
Dr Graeme Cross is the Chief Executive Officer of SCEA, and he will be sharing some insights into the 2025-2030 SCEA Strategic Plan.
There will be copies of the Strategic Plan for everyone in attendance at Celebration Day.
In addition to our keynote speakers, we will also be joined by the following speakers for our Equipping Sessions:
Mr Jordan Thyer: Swan Christian College alumnus and Senior Pastor of Providence Church, Midland.
Mrs Emily Dickinson: Business Coach with a background in counselling and social work, who has worked with organisations across Europe, Australia and the USA.
Mrs Richelle Schokman: Head of Primary at Northshore Christian Grammar School.
Mr Rowan Joubert: Chief Financial Officer at SCEA.
Mrs Lize-Marie Janse van Rensburg & Mr Stephen Drew: Applications Specialists at SCEA with a combined experience of over 25 years across school IT.

Introducing our Celebration Day MCs
No Celebration Day would be complete without our MCs! Here to guide your experience on the day, Mrs Michelle Schouten and Mr Stuart Chisholm will make sure you know what’s happening and coming up across our Celebration Day events.
Michelle has recently re-joined the SCEA community in Term 1 as Principal of Ellenbrook Christian College. Stuart has held the Principalship at Northshore Christian Grammar School for the last 8 years.

So, what do I need to know on the day?
Parking, coffee, dress code, water – there’s lots of personal logistics to manage on the day. To make everything easier, check out the info below:
What time should I arrive?
The itinerary for the day is shown here. Welcome and worship will start at 8:30am, so we recommend allowing yourself plenty of time to grab a coffee, have a chat and familiarise yourself with the venue.

Coffee – where and when you can get it
For those who need their daily coffee fix, Riverview’s Milk and Honey café will be open for beverage sales from 7:30am.
Free self-serve coffee and tea will also be available throughout the day at the station indicated on the map below.
Water – let’s stay hydrated!
Please bring a water bottle with you to Celebration Day, as one will not be provided for you.
There is a water refilling station available.


Parking – there is space for you!
Celebration Day is held at Riverview Church in Burswood, and parking will be a short walk away at Charles Paterson Park, where there is plenty of space for all attendees. Please refer to the map below on the day.

What to wear – suggested dress code
The suggested dress code is smart casual – the weather will be between 20º-34º; however, the venue is air-conditioned, so please plan accordingly.
