SCEA schools take time out to remember ANZAC Day

SCEA schools celebrated ANZAC (Australian & New Zealand Army Corps) Day in different ways this year. Some schools attended their community ‘Dawn Service’, and others welcomed servicemen and women into their schools to commemorate them at school assemblies.

Southern Hills Christian College (SHCC) chose to combine its Easter service with ANZAC Day ceremony, with the joint theme of ‘sacrifice’ adding resonance to the messages of the day.

Kalamunda Christian School (KCS) student Piper McRobert read a war poem at the dawn service next to local political figure Mr Ken Wyatt.

Beechboro Christian School (BCS) invited alumni Mr Jordan Prince-Wright to speak about his upcoming film ‘Before Dawn’, which portrays the ANZAC spirit in the trenches of World War I.

Here are a few ANZAC Day photos to give you just a glimpse of our students and their memorials.
