SCEA Celebration Day is coming – Monday, 24 July 2023.

Term 3, Day 1.

In the leadup to this day of fellowship, keynote addresses and encouragement, we will take the time to showcase each of our speakers so that you understand their backgrounds and their heart for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the next edition of SCEA News, we will provide a registration link which will include ‘Equipping For Mission’ session details to inform your choice for the day.

This week’s speaker profile is His Excellency the Honourable Christopher John Dawson AC APM, Governor of Western Australia,  who will open our 2023 Celebration Day.

Mr Dawson joined the Western Australia Police Force in 1976, going on to provide 46 years of service in Australian law enforcement. 

In the Australia Day Honours List for 2023, Governor Dawson was awarded the Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) for eminent service to public administration through law enforcement roles and reconciliation as the 34th Governor appointed in Western Australia.

He is married to Darrilyn, and has two children and five grandchildren. He is also a recent ‘SCEA grandparent’ with one of his grandchildren now enrolled at a SCEA school!
