Beechboro Christian School (BCS) Kindergarten teacher Ms Zoe Bode has now been recognised as a Koori educator in a recent nationwide search for outstanding educators.
The Koori Curriculum is an early Aboriginal childhood consultancy which helps guide the inclusion of Aboriginal perspectives in early childhood curricula.
For Zoe, the opportunity to become a Koori ambassador sprung from a faith perspective:
“I want the students in my class to feel informed about the world we live in, to know the history of Australia and to hear all of it from a Christian perspective,” said Zoe this week.
The curriculum aims to inform through a range of professional development programs and workshops for educators across Australia.
