SCEA Snap Of The Week : KCS Heart Kids Go Red !

Students saw red for all the right reasons at Kalamunda Christian School this week, with each class donning alternative clothing for one day and donating to fundraiser ‘Heart Kids’.

The charity aims to make a difference to those affected by congenital or acquired heart disease, from diagnosis through to adulthood.

One Kalamunda Christian School parent is very thankful for HeartKids after her young son was cared for following a traumatic start to life:

“HeartKids WA were an invaluable support for us while our son was in the Intensive Care Unit in Melbourne and again we returned home to Princess Margaret Hospital. With each emergency or hospital admission in recent years, they were always the first to visit and offer support. They would deliver care packages or even just join us for a morning coffee or lunch. It would have been very isolating without their ongoing support, we are very blessed to have them with us during this journey,” said the mother yesterday.

$350 was raised by Dr Weaver and his team at KCS! Well done!
