Beechboro Christian School approved to build in 2022

Precisely one year after securing the purchase of a three hectare site from the WA State government, Beechboro Christian School have moved one step closer in their journey to establishing a permanent school site for their community.

School Principal Mr Michael Bolan received news on 7 December 2021 that the Development Approval had received affirmation from the Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP). This endorsement will now allow the first stages of construction to proceed in 2022 at the new site on Crystal Turn in Bennett Springs.

“This news is the Christmas present we have been working towards all year,” said Mr Bolan this week.

“After thirty years on leased land, our community will soon have a permanent home, and our new Early Learning Centre is just the beginning of this amazing transformation.”

Beechboro Christian School, currently situated on the grounds of the Cracovia Club on Marshall Road in Bennett Springs, has continued to grow in numbers and the enrolment forecast for 2022 is at unprecedented levels.

“We have more than 300 students at Beechboro Christian School next year. This is a testament to the excellent work that our staff are doing each day.  They continue to produce excellent academic results, and we partner with our parents to develop students holistically,” said Mr Bolan..

Chief Executive Officer Dr Graeme Cross was delighted with the news this week, paying testament to the hard work that has been undertaken by Mr Bolan and the team involved in this project.

“This is tremendous news for the Beechboro community. It’s another step towards ensuring that our current and future students receive the best possible opportunities in their educational journey with us,” said Dr Cross.

“Mr Bolan has worked very hard with his staff this year. The enrolments are growing, and the team of architects and consultants have created learning spaces on the new site that will be beneficial for our staff and students for years to come,” said Dr Cross.

Construction of a purpose-built Early Learning Centre is set to commence in 2022, and the remainder of the school buildings will be transitioned across to the new school site in due course.

While the school has more enrolments than at any time in its 33-year history (established in 1988), limited places are still available in Pre-Primary to Year 6 in 2022 and Kindergarten enrolments for 2023 are now open too.
