Mundaring Christian College welcomes new Head of Secondary Mr Tim Oates

Mundaring Christian College Principal Mr Rod McNeill announced this week that the new Head of Secondary for the Parkerville Campus will be Mr Tim Oates, commencing in Term 3, 2021.

“I am delighted that Mr Tim Oates will be joining us from the beginning of next term,” said Mr McNeill this week.

“Tim comes to us with twenty-five years of experience in Christian Education and a desire to see Mundaring Christian College reach its full potential as we serve this community into the future.”

“We are very fortunate to have a person of Tim’s calibre coming into this key position at this point of our journey. Tim’s experience in Christian schools will be of significant benefit as we seek to provide the best options for our students in their senior years of schooling.”

Mr Oates has served on leadership teams at Carey Baptist College, South Coast Baptist College, and Alta-1 in recent years.  This new challenge at Mundaring will draw on Mr Oates’ experience in working with staff teams in growing schools.

“I like to work collaboratively with staff to create plans that outline goals, strategies and targets. This will be a wonderful opportunity to work in partnership with the MCC Secondary staff to assist the students to thrive and reach their God-given potential, ” said Mr Oates.

Mr McNeill will be celebrating outgoing staffer Mr David Elsing later in the term. Mr Elsing has made a significant contribution during his four and a half years at the College, and he (along with his well-kept beard!) will be missed around the halls of the Secondary Campus.
