Early February, Northshore Christian Grammar School welcomed new families and students as it opened its doors to commence classes for the very first time.
Northshore Christian Grammar School Principal, Mr Stuart Chisholm, said that the first day of school was the culmination of years of planning.
“It has long been a vision of Swan Christian Education Association to offer families in the northern beaches corridor a non-denominational Christian education, and that vision has come to pass with Northshore Christian Grammar School.”
“We are very grateful to the Federal and State government for their role in the funding of the school, to Peet for the prime parcel of land, to our visionary architects, Broderick Architects, and to our steadfast builders, the De Francesch Building Company.
“Not only are we blessed with second-to-none educational facilities, we are delighted with the many families that have chosen to partner with us for educating their children, a privilege we take very seriously,” he said.
Northshore Christian Grammar School is offering education from Kindergarten to Year 6, growing year on year to extend to Year 12. The school offers foundation scholarships to eligible families and is continuing to welcome enrolments on a daily basis.
Mr. Chisholm said the atmosphere on the first day was one of excitement and anticipation, mixed with a few first-day nerves.
“It was joyful, and a little tearful, as parents dropped their little ones off to school for the first time,” said Mr Chisholm.
“Our foundation cohort has opened with four classes, and our Early Learning class is close to full and will be split into another kindergarten shortly. ”
“We’ve had more enrolments every day this week - another two families have toured the school this morning,” he said.
