Northshore Christian Grammar School welcomed its 100th student this week as doors opened for the 2018 school year. It also marked the commencement of Northshore’s inaugural Year 7 class.

“Welcoming our 100th student and the opening of Year 7 are both exciting milestones for our school,” said Mr. Stuart Chisholm, Principal of Northshore Christian Grammar School.

“We’re particularly proud of the strong sense of community that’s been built, despite growing quickly since we opened last year.

“Over 30 students have joined us this week, and our Kindergarten class for 2019 is already filled, with waitlisting now commenced for a second class”, he said.

On a day of welcoming and celebration, the school introduced seven new staff members to cater to new students and year groups.

Ms Angel Hanna and Mr Derek Speldewinge have joined as Specialist Year 7 teachers, along with Mrs Suret Beicher who has joined as a Primary teacher.

The school also welcomed Mrs Caitlin Mendes da Costa, Mrs Tracy Brodie and Mrs LeeAnn Gebhard as education assistants, and Mrs Nicole Meiring to the administration team.

“Not only are we blessed with new facilities, but we are also delighted to have an experienced group of Christian educators to care for our students and families”, said Mr Chisholm.

“Our staff are compassionate, dedicated professionals who all go the extra mile to ensure that students’ needs are met”, said Mr. Chisholm.

Located in Shorehaven at Alkimos, Northshore currently offers education from Kindergarten to Year 7 and will grow year on year to extend to Year 12. The school offers Academic, Sport, Music and Service Scholarships and is continuing to welcome enrolments on a weekly basis.

Kindergarten class for 2019 is currently full and a wait list for a second class has been created. Should you wish to book a tour of the school, please visit www.northshore.wa.edu.au
