This year, as part of the study of the ATAR Drama course, six students involved at Swan Christian College are moderated with drama students from Ellenbrook Christian College and Carey Baptist College. This moderation process is very empowering for our students as their work and achievements standards are moderated against 13 other students and by two other independent teachers of Drama.
The desired outcome of this collaboration is that the school-based assessments will be reflected in students' WACE examination results. This is an exciting and collaborative approach to studying drama that will enrich all of the Year 12 students involved.
Additionally, special master classes are being run once a month, on a Saturday morning, for the ATAR Drama students, to further consolidate syllabus content. These two hour blocks allows students to extend, grow in knowledge and technique to further enhance their abilities, and aim for their best possible scores. The masterclasses also allow students to benefit from working with other Year 12 students and teachers.
