A combined team of Swan CC students aged 11-15 won the ‘Innovative Idea Award’ in the Regional LEGO League Tournament at Aveley Secondary College last week.

The tournament involved students working together to solve real-world problems using a variety of skills, including creativity, teamwork and problem-solving.

The competition included:

  • creating a robot to solve a robot challenge,
  • presenting to a panel of judges to solve a real-life problem

Swan staffer Matthew Woodbine was thrilled at the results of the competition and was happy with how the students have worked together.

“We have been invited to attend the National Championships this Saturday (12 December) at Curtin University and the students are very excited! So am I!”

Great work, team! I have a feeling I know what this year's Christmas presents under the tree might be...
