On Friday, November 17th, the Maali Room at Swan Christian College played host to the annual Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA) President’s Reception.

Delegates invited to this prestigious occasion included the SCEA Board, Leadership Team, Association members and their families. Also in attendance were an extraordinary group of people who were recognised for their exceptional and long service to SCEA.

“It is humbling to see so many people who have served God through SCEA for such a long time,” said Mr Neil David, CEO of SCEA.  “There was just short of a total of 600 years of service recognised during the evening.  It is a tremendous testimony to each person for the legacy they have left or continue to build.  Just as we included on the invitations, it brings to mind the following passage from Hebrews.” God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.”   Hebrews 6:10

Not only were staff recognised for their individual service, but all staff that had served for 20 years or more were welcomed into the SCEA 20 Year Club.  All 20 Year Club members will be invited to every future President’s Receptions to continue to honour their service, provide them with an opportunity to reunite and lastly to allow them to welcome others into the club.
