Teachers and operations staff across SCEA sites have now begun the ‘Open Book’ sessions as part of the promotion of Biblical literacy for all SCEA staff.

‘Open Book’ was developed by Vose Seminary here in WA in conjunction with Christian Schools Australia (CSA) and is now being used by Christian schools right across our nation.

It is not an easy task to look at the entirety of the Bible and then choose a starting point for growing in your understanding of the significance of these words in our lives.

Dean of Students at Southern Hills Christian College Joel Vallance concluded his plenary to gathered staff with : “The most important thing to take away from today’s session is this : Read your Bible!”

There are a number of sessions to be studied at our schools and offices over the coming months, each one taking on a different focus with the hope of immersing ourselves in this opportunity to learn together about the saving grace of God’s word in our lives.
