As the year draws to a close, we hope that 2015 has been fulfilling for you and your family. It is a privilege to partner with you in the venture of educating and raising your child and we thank you for choosing a SCEA school for this significant journey.
We’d like you to draw your attention to the release of the 2016 school fee schedules, as set by the SCEA Board.
Maintaining fees that are affordable to our individual school communities is paramount to our Association. As such, our 2016 tuition fees have been restricted to an increase of 4.75% across most year groups.
For most year groups our increase remains significantly below the 5.5% average Government CPI for Education, and below the fee increase of many other private schools. This is also the third consecutive year that our tuition fee increases have been restricted to below 5% for most year groups.
Compared to 2015 tuition fees, the increase equates to approximately $3.50 per week for Junior School students and $4.75 per week for most High School students. The vast majority of the increase in tuition fees will cover annual salary increases for our valued teaching and operational staff.
Parents with children moving from Junior School to High School should expect the normal, higher step increase in fees associated with High School education.
We work diligently to find the right balance between offering a quality education program that delivers innovative learning, while also being frugal with our operational costs during this period of economic downturn.
The Future Learning Fund contribution ensures we continue to offer our current and future students access to leading facilities to support and enhance their learning. In 2016, the Future Learning Fund contribution will increase to $135 per student. This levy is reduced for families with multiple students at the same significant discount rate that applies to tuition fees.
We wish you a blessed Christmas and a safe holiday and we look forward to a fruitful new year together.
