Here is Alanda Binstead, long term staff member
How long have you been at SCEA?
I worked in administration at Swan Christian College Junior School (formerly Midland Christian School) from 1984 through to 2012, 28 years altogether. I have now been heading up the Out of School Care facilities for staff children at Swan Christian College.
What attracted you to SCEA?
I became involved with SCEA in its conception because we wanted our children to have the opportunity to attend a Christian School. We wanted the same values that we were teaching them at home to be continued in their education. This would give them the opportunity to grow deeper in their knowledge of God as they continued on in their life out of the school environment, knowing where they stood.
What do you love most about working at SCEA?
I love working with others who have the same belief as me. SCEA is a wonderful environment of love, encouragement and fun.
What is your greatest achievement?
Building long time friendships of those that I have worked with and the families I have come to know through their involvement with the school. I now have 6 grandchildren attending SCEA. This is the greatest blessing from God.
What puts a spring in your step?
Seeing past students, who now have their own children attending SCEA schools.
